About SugarIced Cakes

SugarIced Cakes started as a home based cake studio in 2013 located in the city of Eastpointe serving the Metro Detroit area with custom unique cakes and desserts. SIC has since grown adding a private cake tasting, consultation and pickup studio located in St. Clair Shores, MI. operated by appopintment only.

Lots of love and passion goes into the work produced at SugarIced Cakes using recipes that have been tried & tweaked until they were perfect for sharing. Our goal is to provide you with friendly personalized service and high quality sweets that look and taste amazing.

A little About WandaB

Hello I'm Wanda, I'm glad your here, welcome to the site. Let me start by saying first that I love pretty much anything sweet to eat and my favorites include baklava, gummy bears, twix bars, raisinets and white almond cake with raspberry filling. I love decorating (everything), I'm a flower fanatic & I also enjoy dancing as well as watching the competitions.

Funny I've never been the one who liked cooking but I really enjoy baking and decorating. It all began many years ago (1990's) when I began making my children's (3) birthday cakes after purchasing a Wilton Cake decorating book (which I still have today). I always wanted them to have something different so I would make items from the book or design images to put on the cakes I baked or ordered when I wasn't in the mood to bake. Fast forward....

My love for baking and decorating started to skyrocket in 2009 after I received a kitchen aid mixer from my husband on my birthday. I then began to bake more often & teach myself decorating skills from books and online video's. Inspired by the hit TV show "Cake Boss" my desire to create blossomed into what has become my passion today.

Who knew that creating cakes for just family and friends would lead to such a rewarding journey. I am so thankful and grateful for being able to do what I love & to share my passion with others.
